Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been a Jewellery Designer?

I've been making jewellery and gifts for seven years now. Previous to that, I was in University qualifying as a Jewellery Designer.
Do you work in Silver and Gold?

Yes, I work in silver and gold, copper, brass, wood and resin to name but a few. I work with what I perceive to be the best material for the job. I am always open to ideas and different materials. I DO NOT work with Platinum or Titanium. Other Jewellers do but not me due to the equipment needed to obtain the temperatures needed. I am happy to point you in the direction of others who will work with those materials.
Do you do your own stone setting?

Yes and No. Yes I set most cabochons in settings that I have made and I do set some gemstones in high wall contemporary settings. But No, I do NOT make my own claw settings nor do I set stones in claw settings. I send them off to a Master Stone Setter to ensure your piece gets the best possible finish. I charge separately for this service as I have to pay it myself. I cannot be skilled in every part of being a Jewellery Designer and so it seems logical to me that sometimes I have to use a professional service from those who have mastered their art and pay separately for it.

Do you make blingy Jewellery?

No! My Jewellery is more on the minimalist side of things. If you like blingy jewellery I would suggest you go to a Jeweller who specialises in bling. Specialising is a great thing so I need to stick with what I can, and want to do.
