I'm so excited to announce that as from today, you can book a pendant making jewellery workshop on my website. I have created a range of ideas for you to make. These designs can be used as a framework for your own designs but, I hope shows, the sort of pendants that you could make. I anticipate that the Workshop will last about three hours and at the end, you will finish up with your very own pendant. Chains will be sold separately but will be available to purchase. I really hope that this gives you all more scope and fires up your own imaginations. Please contact me with any questions, I am always happy to answer all your queries. As always, I love to hear your feedback. Until next time....

Hi, this week I opened my Wedding page on this website. I am presently working on new designs which I will be uploading to the page but, in the meantime, I have added some photos of pieces that I have made in the past few months for weddings, I have made other designs, in the past, but not included them as the photos are now not up to the standard I feel this website requires. If you have a wedding coming up I would love to hear from you and I am always happy to chat over different designs.

In the studio, various designs are taking shape. I am very grateful, in this hot weather, that my studio is lovely and cool, but all too quickly the weather changes and we will be heading for autumn. Designs continue to flow and I am working hard for customers to get their special piece ready.

The price of silver and gold has skyrocketed and it is becoming very expensive to purchase sheets to work with. Did you know that if your silver jewellery does not have a hallmark from the Assay Office it cannot be sold as sterling silver? There are those in this industry who continue to claim they are producing Sterling Silver jewellery with a hallmark when they are only adding a 925 stamp. If your jewellery only has a 925 stamp then it is not a hallmark and may not be silver. I only use silver and, apart from some cheaper rings, I hallmark all of my jewellery. if you are in doubt contact me or a professional Jeweller to check.

Its the end of July and every day more and more businesses are reopening following 'lockdown', people are booking holidays left right and centre and masks are a national necessicity. I have no idea if the worst is over or if there will be a "second wave" but I have decided to reopen my ring making workshops in September. I have quite a few people keen to take part and so Ive taken the momentous step and I hope it works out. I for one cant wait. I love doing my workshops and seeing other people's creativity. Three workshops are booked at Tudor Farmhouse in Clearwell and are filling fast. I also have some at my home and I am hoping to get things started at Trumpet Corner Art Gallery in Herefordshire soon. I would love to see you at one of them.

The new website is proving to be a real winner and I'm loving it. I think it now reflects the quality of my work but I would love to know what you think too. I have a new Facebook page under Chris Lewis Jewellery Design, a new Instagram page and I would love you to follow my antics over on either of those or on both.

I am very busy at the moment with commissions, really diverse commissions too, ranging from lamp base, some repairs and some handmade commissions that are personal items reflecting the owner's tastes and memories. I cant share those at the moment but watch my Facebook page for more detail in the coming weeks. I will be back with some more news soon. Have a great August! x
